Quinceañera
The celebration of the Quinceañera is a special time for the girl and her family. Parents and friends publicly present her as a gesture of thanks and gratitude for the gift of life. For the Quinceañera it is an affirmation of her commitment to Christ. Though not a sacrament, the Quinceañera is sacramental, and can therefore be celebrated in different forms depending on the family's needs and its participation in the life of the parish.
A Mass of Thanksgiving is celebrated with the blessing of religious articles and gifts from the friends and family who attend — signs of gratitude for the young lady who celebrates that day.
Quinceañera Masses at St. Mary are celebrated in groups, from 2 to 6 quinceañeras together, on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, except May. Please call the parish office to make an initial appointment with a priest.
